M-TAC CUIRASS TIGER ELITE PLATE CARRIER (L plate size) – is a new evolutionary stage of individual ballistic protection in the PLATE CARRIER line. It is compatible with standard ESAPI (USA) Large ballistic plates (33.7 × 26 cm) with cut upper corners.
The main feature of the M-TAC Cuirass Tiger Elite plate carrier is its cummerbund, which consists of two parts. The lower part of the cummerbund is equipped with a ballistic package made of ultra-high-molecular-weight polyethylene (UHMWPE) and complies with STANAG 2920 with a V-50 fragmentation resistance value of approximately 614.5 m/s.
The upper part of the cummerbund is made from a combination of Tegris thermoplastic composite and Cordura 500D material. It has cut-outs that form a MOLLE panel and allow additional equipment to be attached to the cummerbund.
The cummerbunds are equipped with Duraflex quick-release buckles from the American company National Molding. These buckles belong to the premium class thanks to the combination of a simplified fastening (release) system, low weight and strength (they withstand high loads).
To fasten the buckle, place the part attached to the cummerbund into the buckle receiver on the front part of the plate carrier and slide it until a characteristic sound is heard. To disconnect it, pull sharply upwards (or downwards). It should be noted that the buckle is fastened and released according to the same principle regardless of its placement (right or left side of the cummerbund).
M-TAC CUIRASS TIGER ELITE PLATE CARRIER (L plate size) is made of Cordura 500D – a high-quality material resistant to abrasion and high loads. On the inner side of the plate carrier, there are 3D mesh inserts that provide cushioning and air circulation. Ergonomic shoulder straps are comfortable to use and naturally follow the contours of the body.
The front part of the product features a Velcro panel with cut-outs, allowing MOLLE-compatible equipment and ID identifiers to be attached. At the top of the plate carrier, the brand’s designers have provided a small administrative pocket with an AquaGuard water-resistant zipper. This pocket is designed for storing small flat items such as identification documents, keys, a lighter and other items.
At the bottom of the body armour is a quick-release module with 3 pouches that securely hold magazines. To prevent accidental detachment from the Velcro base, it is attached to the webbing on the plate carrier using Woojin carabiners.
The upper part of the module features special protrusions with perforations (2 on each integrated pouch), designed to change the position of elastic cord loops for more convenient magazine carrying. Elastic bands are located on the sides of the module and are intended for carrying chem lights, markers, etc.
The rear side of the plate carrier features a classic MOLLE interface and an evacuation handle, which is secured to the back panel with Velcro panels in the transport position.
The M-TAC Cuirass Tiger Elite plate carrier can be used both in the standard configuration and with additional modules, increasing the area of fragmentation protection. Combined with other equipment, the plate carrier allows the creation of a modern modular individual protection system for the user. This product can be additionally equipped with:
