M-TAC Sturm Ballistic Gorget – for inserts

M-TAC has developed a new concept in personal protective gear — the STURM Ballistic Gorget . This is a compact, detachable module that provides 360° fragmentation protection for the neck and upper back.

This model is specifically designed for integration with the M-TAC STURM Plate Carrier Cover. Its ergonomic shape aligns with the contours of the STURM carrier, creating a seamless protective zone.

The gorget consists of two sections connected via Velcro fasteners:

• The front panel protects the throat and front of the neck
• The rear panel covers the shoulders, trapezius muscles, and back of the neck

The rear section features hybrid Velcro webbing on its edges, allowing for secure hook & loop attachment to a variety of gear configurations — without relying on traditional loop/hook placement. Height adjusters on the back let you fine-tune the gorget’s position using either Velcro slots or MOLLE webbing loops on the rear plate bag. Simply unthread the strap from the bottom of the buckle, route it through the adjustment system, and retighten.

The front straps feature Velcro patches for anchoring the gorget to gear. If needed, the front panel can be folded down and secured to the front of the plate carrier, allowing use of the rear panel only.

The module is constructed from Cordura 500D — a highly durable, abrasion-resistant fabric. The inner shoulder portion uses Flex fabric, which improves breathability and comfort in high-mobility situations.

Attention: only the case is included, ballistic pouches are not included!
